Help! Banish the blackheads

Everyone is always concerned about "blackheads" - no matter what age or skin type.  Even dry skin can have blackheads around the nose or perhaps around the "mask lines" that we have become so accustomed to wearing the past few years.  So, here are some quick and easy solutions to banish blackheads, but first:

What is a blackhead exactly?

A blackhead is commonly visible on or around the nose. Its a backup of oil and bacteria in the pore, which causes it to “pop up” to the surface. The “gunk” meets the air which is then oxidized and it causes the black or dark appearance.

How can you banish them?

Step 1:

After cleansing, a must: use the Cinq Mondes Purifying Precious Elixir. Apply a drop or 2 (depending on face size and area you need to cover) and massage in to area of concern.

Step 2:

Use the Cinq Mondes Seeds and Flowers Exfoliant.

This will unlodge black heads as you massage it on the skin.  It could be mixed with a nickel size of the Cinq Mondes Flowers Cleansing Balm, or the Elemental Herbology Perfect Balance Cleansing oil.  This can be performed up to 3 times per week or daily if you have an oily or combination skin.

Step 3:

An optional step that can be done 1-2X week, depending on the condition of the skin: Mask with the Cinq Mondes Kaolin and Flowers Clay Mask or Elemental Herbology Purifying Clay mask, all over the face for an oily/combination or locally on the nasal labial folds or where needed over the area you applied the Purifying Precious Elixir. Leave this on for 5-10 minutes (it should dry but not too dry).  Remove with a warm, damp cloth or disposable cotton pads.

Special tip about cleansing:

always remove makeup before bedtime. Makeup is a culprit for "blackheads". Our favorite makeup-up remover cleansers are:
